Very hardy and magical Rhubarb! We just racked this morning and could barely see the plants. 8½ hrs later… CrAzY..
Hence the saying, spring has sprung!😂 -
Im curious. What colored flowers bring you the most joy? I love peonies and Hydrangea, Calalilies, tulips and gladiolois(sp?) plants. Purples, whites, blues, whites, yellows and green.
Ive often wondered if we plant flower with the colors we enjoy the best. I have found, for myself.. I tend to plant flowers according to my mood.💜 Anyone relate? -
This is what my husband and I built when we moved here almost 2 years ago. We have all kinds of critters out here. They all want mygarden😂

That’s a hugh seed. Now I recognize it. Very well done You can put it in soil now but then you’d haveto water it daily.

If you live in the country, where critters are all about, wanting to eat your garden, this is a great garden bed. Also, if you have trouble getting up and down, a good way to still be able to garden.

It grew like a weed! What do you like to make with the rhubarb?
Tons of stuff Lori. Rhubarb crisps, pies, syrups and more. I love to make Rhubarb mixed with other berries for pies and crisps.. so good. I freeze it toward the end of the season and use it in the winter months as well for desserts.
Oh.. Rhubarb cinnamon crunch bread or muffins is delightful.❤️😁
The cinnamon crunch bread sounds really yummy. My favorite pie is strawberry rhubarb. That’s great you freeze your own I have bought a frozen container of rhubarb at WalMart in the past. When I was a kid my aunt had a neighbor with huge plants we used to break of the stalks and eat them.
Yes… I used to eat stalks raw as a kiddo as well. Its so easy to freeze. I clean the stalks, cut up then place them on a cookie sheet in the freezer, for 2 hours. Take it out them drop them into freezer bags. This way the stay as individual pieces in the freezer bag for easy use.
That is a good method to freeze excess fruit. I almost tried it with pineapple last week that was on sale.
